We believe that the time a child spends “playing” allows for some of the most important discoveries. These discoveries are fostered through various learning experiences, including sensory explorations, dramatic play, language development, mathematics, science, role-playing, and fine motor activities. This is accomplished through teacher-led group instruction as well as self-selected centers. It is also important that children be afforded an outlet for all their energy through gross motor activities played indoors and outside. Children participate in a developmentally appropriate curriculum that promotes positive social and emotional growth while developing a love for learning. The curriculum is taught by a caring and nurturing staff that adheres to the NAEYC guidelines. Our curriculum is further enhanced by the participation in field trips and visitors to the classroom (In adherence to COVID-19 guidelines). The children also participate in seasonal celebrations to strengthen their home to school connection. Kids Place knows that the time a child spends playing helps to foster knowledge discoveries that build skills for a lifetime.
In this fast-paced world, we also understand that families need the flexibility to select program hours that meet their families’ needs. We offer not only full day programming but half-day programs as well. All programs allow you to select the number of days during the week you need care, and our drop-in care is also available to assist in those last-minute changes of plans.
